Mexico Car Accident Spills Into Front Yard Of A Home

A Mexico man was taken to the hospital following a two-car accident on Agricultural/Promenade on Friday, November 1st, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened shortly after 8:30am when a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Jason Cochran of Auxvasse entered onto Agricultural and due to a the glare of the sun in his eyes did not see a vehicle driven by 25-year-old James Petit of Mexico.

Cochran’s vehicle crashed into the back of Petit’s vehicle.

The impact caused Petit’s vehicle to crash into a tree and Cochran’s vehicle crashed into a concrete step, both in the front yard of a home at 1003 East Promenade.

Petit sustained minor cuts, complained of back pain and was evaluated by EMS, then driven to the hospital by a private vehicle.

Cochran complained of neck pain and declined medical evaluation.

Damage was reported to a fiber box and a stop sign post.
