Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 40-year-old Michael Smetzermacher on a Callaway County warrant on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Wednesday, November 6, 2024:

  • Suspicious person on South Jefferson and at Yale.
  • Unwanted subject at 629 East Liberty.
  • Property damage at the Marine Drive apartment building.
  • Stealing or theft on Garfield and at 2902 South Clark.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on South Clark at the Green Relief.
  • Displaying a weapon on West Maple.
  • Threats at 1704 East Liberty.
  • Domestic physical incident on North Missouri.
  • Domestic verbal incident at Quantico Road/Tripoli.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident on South Clark at Boulevard on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Craig Reichert of Mexico, stopped for vehicles, in order to merge onto South Clark.

While Reichert’s vehicle was stopped it was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Abigail O’Neal of Mexico.

No injuries were reported.
