14th Annual Gary Filbert Classic Results

It was a full day of high school basketball action on the Gary Filbert Court at the Mexico High School Sports Complex for the Fluid Power Support Gary Filbert Classic on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs started their season off with a 64-53 victory over the Van-Far Lady Indians.

Claire Hudson was the Gary Filbert MVP of the game.

Hudson put up 29 points in the game to lead all scorers.

Freshman Scottie Smith put up 14 points in her Lady Bulldogs varsity debut.

And Grace Hudson rounded out the double digit scoring for Mexico with 13 points.

The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team hung tough with Class 6 Hickman Kewpies.

Hickman’s 6-foot-6 standout athlete Brock Camp put up 29 points.

Camp has already committed to play college football for Colorado State next season.

Mexico had three players score in double digits.

Jaydon Eldridge led the Bulldogs offense with 23 points.

PJ Perkins and Charlie Fisher had 15 points and 14 points respectively.

Hickman came out on top with a final score of 69-62.

 

Chamois boys defeated Community R6 68-38.

North Callaway girls beat Macon 48-31.

North Callaway boys bested Macon 43-38.

Community R6 girls outlasted Calvary Lutheran 46-43.

Van-Far boys defeated Calvary Lutheran 40-33. Evan Utterback was the Gary Filbert MVP of the game.
