Mexico Lady Bulldogs Basketball Star Will Soar With The Eagles At Kirkwood Community College

Mexico High School basketball star Claire Hudson signed a letter of intent to take the court as a Kirkwood Eagle next year, during a signing ceremony held at the Mexico High School Sports Complex on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Claire will attend Kirkwood Community College to attain a Bachelor’s degree in medical science. “I chose this program because I loved the coaches, and the beautiful rural campus feels much like home.” Claire shared the Eagle team chemistry is obvious, and Coach Muhl has a long history of successful seasons, including national champions in 2023 and an overall record of 1045-171. Kirkwood also has a strong medical program, and the courses Claire will need for grad school. She plans to continue her education at Anesthesia Assistant School at UMKC in 2028.
Claire shared that she will miss playing basketball with her sister at Mexico High School (MHS).
She encourages athletes with hope to play at the next level to work on the mental side of the game.
“I believe 90% of the game is mental.
Getting involved in a travel team was one of the things that helped me reach my goals the most, and I think this could help others reach their goals.”
Claire is the daughter of Heath and Rebekah Hudson; she’s the big sister of Grace and Cole.
