Ahead of weather conditions over the weekend, the Mexico Street Department, Mexico Public Safety and the Mexico School District are all preparing for the winter storm.
Mexico Public Works Director Drew Wiliford says road crews are proceeding forward with the prediction from the National Weather Service of six to twelve inches of snow in mind.
Wiliford says they are fully staffed in the Public Works Department and all roads and bridges have been pre-treated in preparation for the storm.
Mexico Public Safety Chief Brice Mesko says people are advised to keep travel at a minimum.
Mexico School District Superintendent Dr. Troy Lentz says it is way too early to make a decision on if school will be in session on Monday.
