Mexico Public Safety Department Report 1/4/2025

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, January 3, 2025:

  • Domestic physical incident at MacFarlane.
  • Trespassing on East Holt.
  • Stealing or theft at 2855 South Clark and at 1719 South Clark and on Fairground Road.
  • Suspicious vehicle at 4820 South Clark.
  • Threats at 4820 South Clark.

Public Safety went to the following calls on Saturday, January 4, 2025:

  • Suspicious person at the West Plaza Shopping Center and on South Trinity and at West Jackson.
  • Ex-parte violation at the West Love apartment building.
  • Assault with injury on East Central and at North Agricultural.
  • Vehicle break-in on South Mississippi.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Sunday, January 5, 2025:

  • Threats at the East Monroe apartment building.
  • Unwanted subject at the East Holt apartment building.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident in the 2700 block of South Clark Street on Friday, January 3, 2025.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Paighton Walden of Mexico collided with a vehicle in front of her driven by 18-year-old Cassidy Boyer of Benton City.

The accident report reads, after the initial accident, Walden hit her brakes, which caused her vehicle to hit Boyer’s vehicle a second time.

No injuries were reported.
