More Snow Causes Slick Road Conditions In Mid-Missouri

Motorists are being advised that roads are slick and to add extra time and take it slow if you must travel on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Snow began falling last (Thursday) night and continued into this (Friday) morning.

The Columbia Regional Airport had measured 3.3inches of new snow as of 6 this (Friday) morning, on top of accumulation already on the ground.

According to the National Weather Service, close to three inches had fallen in Jefferson City by 7am.

Much of the snow will be light, but pockets of moderate snow will locally drop visibility below one mile.

Sgt. Kyle Green of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said drivers need to be extremely vigilant before hitting the roads over the next several days.
