University of Missouri women’s basketball was eclipsed by No. 13 Oklahoma 80-63 Thursday night in Lloyd Noble Center.
Senior forward Laniah Randle led Missouri (11-9, 0-5 SEC) with 15 points nine rebounds and three steals.
Sophomore Grace Slaughter poured in 15 points to go along with three boards.
Sophomore guard Ashton Judd and senior guard Nyah Wilson were able to kickstart Missouri’s offensive effort as each tallied three early points in the contest, while the Tigers’ defense garnered a trio of steals. Neither side could gain momentum, as Oklahoma led by just two through the opening six minutes of action.
The Sooners strung together a seven-point run in the back half of the frame before Judd buried a triple to stifle the charge. A late 3-pointer from Oklahoma saw the Tigers trailing 22-13 after one.
The Sooners extended the lead to 11 to begin the second, but a layup by redshirt sophomore Averi Kroenke and back-to-back triples by Slaughter quickly sliced the Missouri deficit to four.
The teams exchanged baskets as the game neared the half. Randle scored 10 of her total in the quarter to lead the Tigers as Oklahoma took a 39-32 lead into the break.
Oklahoma was able to find separation early in the third. Missouri continued to battle as an eight-to-two run that was capped off by a triple from sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke brought the Tigers to within 14 in the final minute of the frame.
Six Tigers scored in the fourth quarter, but the Sooners maintained their advantage to secure the victory.
Defensively, Missouri totaled eight steals on the night while forcing 22 Oklahoma turnovers.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced 26 non-roster invitees to 2025 Spring Training camp today. Highlighting the list of those set to report to Jupiter the second week of February are three Cardinals first round draft picks and several top prospects.
Each of the club’s three most recent First Round draft picks will participate: SS JJ Wetherholt (2024), OF Chase Davis (2023) and LHP Cooper Hjerpe (2022). They will be joined by 2024 MiLB & Baseball America Minor League Pitcher of the Year Quinn Mathews, 2024 Texas League MVP and Cardinals Minor League Player of the Year Jimmy Crooks, and catching prospect Leonardo Bernal.
Five players who were acquired this offseason or late last season will report with the big leaguers: RHP Michael Gomez, LHP Oddanier Mosqueda, C Chance Sisco, INF Jose Barrero and OF Ryan Vilade.
Nine non-roster invitees will take part in their first Major League camp including pitchers Ian Bedell, Alex Cornwell, Edwin Nuñez, and Mathews; infielders R.J. Yeager and Wetherholt; and outfielders Nathan Church, Bryan Torres and Davis.
Cardinals 2023 Minor League Pitcher of the Year Max Rajcic returns to St. Louis’ spring roster along with other members who were in camp last season including pitchers Andre Granillo and Drew Rom; catchers Sammy Hernandez, Carlos Linárez, and Wade Stauss; and infielders César Prieto and Jeremy Rivas. Catcher Gavin Collins will also be in Major League camp, his first with St. Louis.

Cardinals pitchers and catchers will hold their first practice at the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium complex on Wednesday, February 12 with the first full squad workout scheduled for Monday, February 17.
The St. Louis Blues defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1 at the Enterprise Center.
Brayden Schenn scored twice and Colton Parayko scored for the third straight game as the Blues have won three of four.
