Mexico High School Boys Basketball Reigns Three’s On Palmyra

The Mexico Bulldogs boys and girls varsity basketball teams split non-conference games against Palmyra at the Mexico High Sports Complex on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs lost to Palmyra 70-64.

Mexico would get down by as many as 30 points.

The Lady Bulldogs then made a furious comeback in the second half of the game.

The Lady Bulldogs would pull into 60-60 tie with just under three minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

Palmyra would hold on to win.

The Lady Bulldogs had four players in double digit scoring.

Claire Hudson led the Mexico offense with 15 points.

Freshman Scottie Smith put up 14 points.

Kenley Jones notched 12 points.

And Alyssa Miller recorded 11 points.

The Mexico girls are now 8-8 overall on the season.

The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team led from start to finish with a 89-40 victory over Palmyra.

Mexico made 14-three pointers in the game.

Kaden Benne led all scorers with 24 points and had 6 made three’s.

Jaydon Eldridge contributed 17 points. And James Matthews had an 11 point night.

The Mexico boys won their third consecutive game and improved to 11-5 on the season.
