Community R6 Lady Trojans defeated Sturgeon 52-46 on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025.
Community’s Aaliyah Welch had 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Peyton Beamer finished the game with 19 points and 6 assists.
Aaliyah and Peyton accounted for 41 of the Lady Trojans 52 points.
Other scoring leaders for the Lady Trojans included Rylee Rafferty 6 pts., Kat Meyer 3 pts., Chloe Johnson 2 pts.
Community head coach Bob Curtis says “It is always a great feeling when you can get a victory for your seniors.
Aaliyah, Rylee, and Amy will be missed as they bring so much to this team.
All three have a high basketball IQ and really make us better in different ways.
Our Junior standout Peyton Beamer really had a big game handling the pressure, knocking down shots, and passed the ball really well.
We talked earlier in the day that she really needed to have a big night with Jocelyn Curtis out with the flu as we would be missing that inside scoring around the rim.”
The Lady Trojans improved to 15-8 overall and have a CAC Conference Record of 6-2.
