Boone Electric sent out a press release on 2/19/2025, asking their customers to lower their thermostats a few degrees and turn off nonessential electric devices from 6-10am on 2/20/2025.
Consolidated Electric Cooperative put up a social media post on Thursday morning asking co-op members across the state to conserve energy due to extreme winter weather and maximum load on their electric grid.
