Mexico High School Boys Wrestling Poised For Big Day At District Tournament

The Mexico High School boys wrestling team currently sits in 2nd place in the District Tournament.

The Tournament being hosted at the Mexico High School got underway on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025.

Nine Mexico wrestlers are in the semis and three wrestlers are in the wrestle back round.

In the semis are Carlos Juarez Ramirez, Evan Blair, Brayden Arnold, Watson Azdell, Kyler Carr, Grant Van Horn, Logan Hilderman, Grant Walker and Travis Shramek.

The three Mexico wrestlers in the wrestle back are Kyle Lews, Israel Hernandez-Jarquin, and Hunter Love. Mexico head coach Gayle Adams reports Isai Hernandez had to injury fault out of the tournament.

The tournament concludes on 2/22/2025, with the top four wrestlers going to state, and if you win in the semis you go to state. with a loss, the wrestler will need to win in the blood round to get into the third or fourth place match.
