Mexico High Academic Back-To-Back-To-Back North Central Missouri Conference Champions

The Mexico High School Academic Team completed their 3-peat and were once again crowned North Central Missouri Conference Champions.

The NCMC Quiz Bowl Tournament took place at the Mexico High School on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025.

Mexico went 5-0 against fellow NCMC teams Fulton, Hannibal, Kirksville, Marshall and Moberly.

Seniors Camden Williams and Andrew Peuster made the all-NCMC team as the top 2 scorers of the tournament, scoring 85 and 75 points per game respectively.

The Conference-Winning team tonight was comprised of seniors Camden Williams, Andrew Peuster, and Lucy Gleeson, juniors Hunter Feger and AJ Leon, sophomore Ash Lee, and freshmen Trey Steelman and Elliott DeVargas, who also made their A-team debut during the tournament.

Final NCMC Standings:
Mexico took 1st with a 5 – 0 record.
Hannibal 2nd with a 4 – 1 record.
Fulton took 3rd with a 3 – 2 record.
Kirksville took 4th with a 2 – 3 record.
Marshall took 5th with a 1 – 4 record.
Moberly went 0 – 5.

Mexico will be back in action this Saturday at Columbia College for the MOQBA Missouri NAQT Qualifier.
