No injuries reported following a house fire in Mexico during the afternoon hours of Saturday, Mar. 9, 2025.
Mexico Public Safety responded to 1500 block of Kent Road just after 2:30pm.
The residents reported their house filling with smoke from an unknown source.
Responding personnel found a fire in the utility room, located in the basement of the home.
The fire was contained and extinguished in that area with the utility room suffering moderate fire and water damage.
Mexico Public Safety says the fire started in the area of a recently washed pile of laundry covering an old electronic device similar to a Blackberry.
