The city of Mexico is considering a request from a company to operate a medical marijuana dispensary.
The request is from JAD Properties, LLC, asking the city for approval for a marijuana dispensary on their property at the old Commerce Bank Building on 1015 East Liberty.
The request is within seven hundred feet of a church facility.
A Mexico City Code Ordinance says such facilities may not be closer than 1,000 feet of a primary or secondary school, day care facility or church.
The Mexico Zoning Board of Adjustment will consider the request on Tuesday, August 6th at 9:00 am in the Third Council Chambers at City Hall.
Public input or opinion written or verbal can be made at the time of the meeting.
