Nunnelly Arrested for Sex With a Student

25-year-old Janae Nunnely of Mexico, a former employee at Eugene Field Elementary School, was arrested earlier (Friday) today and charged with two counts of felony sexual conduct with a student. The charges are Class E felony’s, and are punishable by up to four years in prison.

The probable cause statement read that on or between March 1, 2022 and April 30, 2022, she had oral and vaginal sex with one student at Mexico High School and that on or between June 1, 2024 and July 31, 2024, the defendant had vaginal intercourse with another student.

Nunnelly, who worked in the school system at the time, was terminated February 28th at a special Mexico School Board meeting.

A warrant was issued March 13th by Mexico Public Safety and Nunnelly turned herself in on March 20th.

Bond has been set at $250,000.
