Mexico High School girls soccer team defeated Fatima 3-2 on the road on Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2025.
Sophomore Brenda Matuz, senior Bella Cummings and junior Zoey Norton provided the scoring for Mexico.
Mexico head coach Sarah Olsen says “In the first half, we had a couple of errors which led to goals. We had many good scoring opportunities, we were just having a hard time finishing. We were down 0-2 going into second half.
In second half we continued to have opportunities and were able to put three in the back of the net. We played a cleaner half overall and came out with a win!”
The Lady Bulldogs evened their season record at 1-1.
