Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 32-year-old Ben M. Birkemeier for Driving While Intoxicated and Careless and Imprudent Driving on Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2025.
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2025:
- Domestic verbal incident at the South Clark apartment building.
- Intoxicated person walking at 4820 South Clark.
- Fraud on West Liberty.
- Domestic verbal incident at West Maple.
- Harassment on South Jefferson and at the Hassen apartment building.
- Suspicious person on West Buchanan and North Abat/Mexico High School.
- Vehicle break-in on North Abat.
Car accidents:
Mexico Public Safety responded to two separate car accidents on Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2025.
The first was around 3:28pm at 3100 South Clark Street.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Ben Birkemeier of Centralia collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Christyl Jacobs of Mexico.
No injuries were reported.
Mexico Public Safety responded to a two car accident at West Monroe and North Missouri around 3:39 on Monday afternoon.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Mexico girl turned east on Monroe and collided with a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Amenta Aldridge of Mexico.
No injuries were reported.
