The potential for severe thunderstorms in the mid-Missouri area is expected through mid to late afternoon on Wednesday, Apr. 2, 2025.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for eastern portions of mid-Missouri until 4pm, and until noon for areas west of Highway 63.
Hail and wind threats are are risks for areas along and east of Highway 54 for today (Wednesday) and into tonight (Wednesday).
There is also potential for 1″ to 2″ diameter hail, 60-70 mile per hour winds, and a few tornadoes are possible into this (Wednesday) evening.
The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for Eastern Howard County until 10am on Wednesday, Apr. 2, 2025.
Shortly after 9:30am, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Fayette, moving northeast at 65 miles per hour.
A radar indicated rotation.
Mexico Public Safety is monitoring the weather in Mexico.
A Thunderstorm warning was issued for the eastern part of Audrain County around 8 this (Wednesday) morning.
Mexico Public Safety Chief Brice Mesko says everything was fine in the area as of around 9:30 this (Wednesday) morning and they will continue to monitor the situation.
