Audrain County Recorder of Deeds Teresa Allen wants to inform the public about the dangers of property fraud due to events that happened last week.
Allen says that this is the first known attempt at property fraud during her tenure as County Recorder. She recommends contacting law enforcement and seeking an attorney if you suspect that property fraud has occurred, or is occurring, on land you own.
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls yesterday (Wednesday): A fraud at 623 East Holt. A stealing or theft at 815 East Liberty and 4820 South Clark.
Audrain County Sheriff’s Department K9 Apollo is healing up after suffering an eye injury last week. Sheriff Matt Oller says it happened while they were in Vandalia. Oller says Apollo will remain on full duty while he recovers.
