Annual Health Fair in Mexico on Saturday

A Back to School Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Mexico. The event will run from 8am until noon and is open to the public. The annual event is focused on getting kids prepared to go back to school. The Community Health Ministries Team, Audrain County Health Department, C2C and Mexico Public Safety have joined forces to hand out free backpacks, shoes and school supplies, for kids Kindergarten through 12th grade.

John Johnson, event coordinator, says with the return of in-person health screenings, they fear they won’t be able to serve as many people this year, but that the health fair has had very good attendance the last few years.

The church is located at 122 E. Promenade.
