Hallsville Student Selected As A Top 100 Scholar

A Hallsville High School senior has been selected for the 2019 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of the states top academic students in the graduating class.

Samuel Lockwood was chosen based on a formula using the student’s grade point average and ACT or SAT score.

Lockwood had to meet criteria of an “academic decathlon” designed to assure the academic strength of the student, including a GPA of 3.75 or higher, ranked in the top 10 percent of the class and excellent attendance.

Lockwood plans on attending Princeton University when he graduates in May.
