Structure fire in Mexico Saturday
A Saturday structure fire in Mexico left a house in the 700 block of Union suffering significant fire damage and a neighboring home suffering moderate heat damage.
Mexico Public Safety received the call at 9:51PM, and responding personnel found flames coming from the front of a house. The fire had already destroyed the front deck, had moved into a partially finished attic, and was burning a nearby tree.
The fire was brought under control and extinguished. The resident was not at home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries from the event. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
