Partial S.N.A.P. Benefits being Distributed

Some Missouri Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients were set to receive benefits as early as yesterday, after a delay caused by political battles surrounding an ongoing government shutdown.

The Missouri Department of Social Services says it’s following new federal guidance released November 8, directing states to issue partial November SNAP benefits.

Missouri’s EBT vendor has been notified, and participants should have access to their partial benefits as of yesterday (Tuesday).

Feeding Missouri, warns that a new federal formula means some households will get only part of their usual benefit, while others may not receive anything this round.
