Snyder, Couch arrested after Mexico search

Yesterday (Thursday), Audrain County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended a known felon after a search of a residence on Elmwood Drive in Mexico. 41-year-old Kevin D. Snyder was arrested on four (4) outstanding Felony arrest warrants.

The arrest was spearheaded by the work of Deputy Andrew Duff, as part of Missouri’s state-wide initiative Operation Relentless Pursuit. His research and surveillance suggested Snyder was hiding within the residence.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies discovered Snyder, who was hiding under the residence via a hole cut in the floor and covered with carpet.

During the search, the resident, Samuel D. Couch, 35, lied to deputies multiple times about Snyder being within the residence. Once Snyder was discovered, Couch was arrested for Hindering Prosecution – Felony.

Snyder was transported to the Audrain County Jail on the outstanding warrants, which charge him with Burglary, Stealing, Felony Possession of Controlled Substance, and Resisting Arrest.

Couch was transported to the Audrain County Jail and has been formally charged with Hindering Prosecution – Felony. Bond was set at $2500, and he has since bonded out.

Snyder remains in the Audrain County Jail.
