In Mexico, a man is facing multiple charges after police say he led them on a high-speed chase claiming he was a NASCAR driver.
It happened Sunday evening when officers responded to reports of a drunk driver in a black Ford Mustang.
When police tried to pull the car over, the driver took off, speeding through stop signs and residential streets before being stopped and arrested.
Authorities identified the driver as Dillon Mills, who allegedly told officers he drove recklessly because he “wanted attention” and is a “NASCAR driver.”
Mills is now charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors and is being held in the Audrain County Jail without bond.
