Holts Summit Fire Station One responds to fire

The Holts Summit Fire Department responded to a fire Friday evening that may have been the shortest call on record after a fire broke out inside Holts Summit Fire Station One at 557 South Summit Drive.

The call came in at 6:59 p.m., and resident firefighters assigned to the station were able to quickly bring the fire under control within minutes as firefighters. Alerted to an automatic heat alarm activation, they determined that a gear dryer located inside the truck bay had caught fire.
