Shelby County Fire responds to structure fire

The Shelbina Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire Friday afternoon. Firefighters were dispatched at 3:32pm, to a residence north of Shelbina on Shelby County Road 353.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a two story house fully engulfed in flames. There was also machine shed and a camper on fire. The house, shed and several bales of hay were a total loss. The camper received extensive damage.

Two dogs were rescued from the camper. Two other buildings that were in danger of burning were saved.

Firefighters cleared the scene around 6 PM.

There were no injuries.
