A Boone County woman is behind bars after police say she tried to run someone over with an SUV early Wednesday morning.
Investigators say 43-year-old Kala Watson drove a Ford Expedition at the victim at about 20 to 30 miles per hour following an argument, tearing up the yard and nearby concrete.
Officers responding around 4 a.m. found damage to the property and to the vehicle itself.
Police say Watson later admitted in text messages to driving up to the home before getting stuck in the mud.
She’s charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action and is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.
A court date has not yet been set.
