ELECTION PREVIEW – AMENDMENTS

Constitutional Amendment 1
“Amendment 1 asks Missouri voters whether to continue an existing one-tenth of one percent sales tax for another 10 years. The money helps fund state parks, historic sites, and soil and water conservation projects. A ‘yes’ vote keeps the current tax in place. A ‘no’ vote lets it expire.”

Constitutional Amendment 2
“Amendment 2 asks whether all Missouri charter counties should be required to elect their county assessor, including Jackson County. It would also require those assessors to meet training standards set by state law. A ‘yes’ vote makes those changes. A ‘no’ vote keeps the current system.
