Jefferson City Man Charged with Felony Harassment of Two Girls

A Jefferson City man is facing a felony charge after police say he harassed two girls near his home.
34-year-old Brian Duncan was charged Monday in Cole County with first-degree harassment and is being held without bond.
Court documents say a witness called police Saturday after Duncan allegedly approached two girls several times as they moved into a nearby home at one point carrying a knife and asking their ages.
Duncan reportedly told officers he believed one of the girls was “old enough to have sex.” He pleaded not guilty during a video arraignment Monday.
A counsel status hearing is set for Friday, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 2.
