Jefferson City Woman to Plead in Deadly Hot Car Case Monday

A Jefferson City woman charged in a deadly hot car case is expected to enter a plea Monday.

Court records show Tre’Davyah Edwards was indicted last September for first-degree involuntary manslaughter, tied to an August 2024 incident where someone died after being left inside a vehicle on a day that hit 89 degrees.

The exact location hasn’t been released.

Edwards’ trial, originally set for January, was canceled when attorneys said a resolution was near.

The plea hearing is set for 1:30 Monday afternoon at the Cole County Courthouse.
