Jury Trial Begins for Suspect in 2024 Buffalo Wild Wings Shooting

A jury trial began Tuesday for the suspect accused in a 2024 shooting at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Columbia.

38-year-old Alexis Gonzalez faces charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Prosecutors say Gonzalez shot a man after an argument that began when staff stopped serving him alcohol, and he allegedly tried to leave without paying.

The shooting left one person injured.

Gonzalez has been held without bond in the Boone County Jail since his arrest.

The trial is expected to wrap up by Thursday.
