Columbia Man to Face Trial in 2024 Double Homicide This Summer

A Columbia man accused in a 2024 double homicide will go to trial this summer.

Court records show 47-year-old Randall Russell Fox is set for a four-day jury trial beginning August 18th in Boone County.

Fox faces two counts of second-degree murder and other charges in the deaths of his ex-wife, Sara Fox, and her mother, Marcia Hess.

The case began as a missing persons report before police discovered both women shot to death inside their Columbia home on Ridgemont Drive.

Fox was arrested after a brief manhunt and has pleaded not guilty.
