I-70 Bridge Work to begin at Boone-Callaway line

The planned closure of the north outer road at the Boone/Callaway County line was rescheduled to start today, Weather had postponed the closure, which will begin the process to replace two bridges on Interstate 70 near mile marker 136.6. It will close the North Outer Road 70 at Cedar Creek, west of Callaway County Route J.

There will be no designated detour, but signs located well ahead of the closure will alert motorists to use an alternate route.

Motorists should expect the closure to be in place for 10 months, though January 2027.
