in College Softball

Mizzou softball (20-18, 4-5 SEC) took home an 8-5 road victory over Missouri State (15-18, 4-8 CUSA) last night, in Springfield.

Freshman Abby Carr threw 4.0 innings in a start, while going 3-4 from the plate with two RBIs. She was also named SEC freshman of the Week.
Senior Courtney Donahue recorded her first career save in the win.

Missouri baseball scored 8 runs in the bottom of the fourth last night, but couldn’t hold on losing 11-8 to Kansas.
It marked MU’s 5th straight loss, and was also the 5th straight in the series with the the Jayhawks.

In MLB
The Royals had the night off.

After just one game of action, St. Louis right-handed pitcher Matt Pushard was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday afternoon with right knee patellar tendinitis and right-hander Gordon Graceffo was called up from Triple-A Memphis.

Last night, Ivan Herrera’s two run double in the third and Ramon Urias (Yer-E-Aghs) solo home run in the seventh capped a 3-0 shutout of the Mets.
Andre Pallante got the win for the Cards as he gave up just 3 hits in his five innings of work.
