A 48-year-old Chicago man was killed in a semitruck crash early Wednesday in Audrain County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 6:20 a.m. on Route J, near County Road 481, when the truck ran off the right side of the road and hit a ditch.
Investigators say the cargo shifted and struck the cab, killing the driver.
The crash blocked Route J for much of the day.
Crews cleared the wreckage and reopened the road by about 3:15 p.m., according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
