A former Moberly school has stepped into a new role as a home for dozens of local residents.
The old Moberly Junior High has been transformed into the Tannehill Senior Apartments, a 40-unit, $22 million housing project led by the North East Community Action Corporation.
The complex at 101 North Johnson now offers affordable one- and two-bedroom apartments for income-qualifying adults.
All units filled quickly after opening March 19, with a waiting list already growing.
NECAC says the project preserves local history while addressing the community’s housing shortage turning a place of learning into a new place for living.
