Missouri’s quest to return to the NCAA Gymnastics Championships remained possible until the final routine of the final rotation, but the Tigers came up just short on Sunday as they finished third in the Lexington regional. The top two teams advanced, led by No. 1 Oklahoma, who won the meet with a 198.275 to clinch its 22nd consecutive trip to nationals.
Arkansas edged Mizzou on the balance beam and that gave them a final margin of 197.450 to 197.225.
IN COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Missouri softball avoided a series sweep on Saturday as they defeated No. 20 LSU, 1-0. Mizzou got a dominant performance in the circle from starting pitcher Cierra Harrison as the Tigers (21-20, 5-7 SEC) snapped a two-game skid and remained above the .500 mark overall.
IN COLLEGE BASEBALL
Missouri Baseball defeated No. 24 Kentucky, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at Kentucky Proud Park to earn its first road series win over a ranked opponent since 2021. Mizzou put together a four-run fifth inning to secure the victory.
