No Charges for Blair Oaks Bus Driver After Assault Investigation

A Blair Oaks school bus driver accused of assaulting a student will not face criminal charges.

The incident happened April 1st and was reported to authorities Wednesday morning after the school district contacted a resource officer.

The Cole County Sheriff’s Office initially requested a fourth-degree assault charge following an investigation.

However, Prosecuting Attorney Locke Thompson reportedly says after reviewing reports and video footage, officials determined criminal charges were not appropriate.

The Blair Oaks R-II School District has not released additional details about the incident.
