MMA responds to lawsuit’s allegations

Missouri Military Academy responded today to allegations made in a lawsuit filed late Wednesday in Audrain County Court, as false.

The lawsuit accuses the school of negligence in the supervision of cadets. Court documents filed by the plaintiff claimed a a 12-year-old cadet was repeatedly sexually assaulted over multiple nights inside his dorm room, while the child cried out and banged on the walls for help.

The petition details what it claims as a broader pattern of reported violence, hazing, and sexual misconduct.

MMA denied the allegations in a Friday statement sent to Country 96 News, saying “the safety and well-being of our cadets are our highest priorities. The allegations in the lawsuit are unsubstantiated and without merit.”
