Kirksville claimed the Class 5, District 4 Academic Team Championship with a win over Jefferson City this weekend. The event was held at Mexico High School with the host team being eliminated by Jeff City in the semi-finals.
MHS Academic Team Coach Dale Schenewerk says the team is still planning on going to the National Tournament in Atlanta later this year.
