North Callaway’s transition into consolidating two existing elementary schools, Williamsburg and Hatton-McCredie, is nearing completion. Construction on a new facility being built next to the high school, began in December of 2024.
Preparations are under way for staff and student transition with the relocation process taking place throughout June.
The new consolidated North Callaway elementary school is expected to be complete in May. Finishing touches to the school’s playground and other areas should wrap up by late summer, according to information from the school district’s website.
The school board officially declared Williamsburg and Hatton-McCredie Elementary Schools as surplus property as of Sept. 18th at their board meeting last week.
