The Mexico Activity and Nutrition Center has a full schedule of events coming up for seniors in Audrain County.
Starting with a chair dance class taking place tomorrow,
the center will follow that with a Mother’s Day celebration and military appreciation event on May 8.
The Mother’s Day event will feature a FREE meal Paid for by Emily and Friends, live music from Stanley Freeman and his band, door prizes, and a special tribute to both mothers and military members.
a performance by singer Bernard Ross on May 21,
and a lunch-and-learn with the Arthur Center’s Shalanda Hamilton on May 28. the lunch will also be FREE paid for by Emily and Friends.
On June 4, Barbara Brant will begin leading chair exercise classes at the center, every Thursday (except the 3rd Thursday of each month.)
and the Veterans Coffee Talk will continue on the third Thursday of each month from 9 to 10 a.m.
Center leaders say they hope the variety of activities will bring more seniors through the doors and provide opportunities for exercise, entertainment, education, and fellowship.
