An inmate at the Jefferson City Correctional Center has died.
The Missouri Department of Corrections says 48-year-old Jason Branham was pronounced dead Sunday morning at 7.
Branham was serving a 10-year sentence for assaulting a Department of Mental Health employee at a secure Callaway County facility.
He entered the state prison system in April of 2024. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
