Boonville Man Jailed for Gun Threat, Robbery

A Boonville man is facing multiple charges after allegedly holding two victims at gunpoint on Sunday.

Probable cause statements report that 27-year-old Shawn J. Allen banged on the victims’ window during the 3 am hour on Sunday while they were asleep and kicked their front door until it broke.

After entering the home he held the two at gunpoint while ordering them to leave the apartment.

About six hours later authorities found and arrested Allen near the corner of 3rd and Walnut Street, and charged him with 1st degree burglary, two counts of assault, and two counts of armed criminal action.

He is being held in the Phelps County jail on a $500,000 bond, cash or surety.
