Storms knock out power in mid-Missouri

Morning thunderstorms spawned a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings and even a tornado warning in eastern Missouri. The storms have knocked out power to about 8,000 power customers in Missouri.

In mid-Missouri that includes 309 customers in Pike County, 299 in Osage County, and 135 in Cole County without electricity. The biggest problem is in Boone County. Columbia is reporting seven incidents that have let over 3700 people without power in the southern and western parts of the city.
