Last week, the Audrain County Commission announced that it had secured $4.9 million for roadway improvements between Farber and Basinger Corner.
This money comes in addition to a $24.9 million grant approved in 2025 for improvements on Highway 54 between Farber and Curryville, and Presiding County Commissioner Allen Winders says would see a change to the roadway as well.
Winders says that some people may see marking and preparations in the area this summer, but building will not take place until around 2030.
