A Fulton man is facing multiple charges after an alleged confrontation with a 13-year-old near the Mark Twain National Forest in Callaway County.
Sixty-six-year-old Michael Freeman was arrested Friday on charges including harassment, unlawful use of a weapon, assault and kidnapping. Deputies say Freeman called 911 to report a child shooting squirrels near his property.
According to investigators, the teen told deputies Freeman pointed a revolver at him, prevented him from leaving and threatened him during the encounter. A witness also reported the teen was crying and asking for help.
Freeman is being held without bond at the Callaway County Jail and is scheduled back in court June 2.
