A second fire has caused even more damage to the Pebble Bay Club Restaurant near the Lake of the Ozarks, raising doubts about whether the building can be rebuilt.
The original fire broke out early Monday morning near Camdenton and was brought under control within about 45 minutes. But owner Joe Sweeney says a hotspot reignited overnight Tuesday, sparking a much larger second fire.
Despite the damage, Sweeney says the resort plans to reopen parts of the property this week with a temporary Airstream bar and food trailer.
Fire officials say both fires were accidental, and no injuries were reported.
